My primary concern as a scholar has been present day art production and the ways it intersects with everyday experience, especially as a nexus of culture. My academic research and curatorial work have centralized my belief that educational and cultural institutions are not mere repositories of research and artifacts, but rather dynamic partners with their surrounding communities in an ongoing creation of knowledge and understanding.
